Q: What are the Height, Age and Weight restrictions?
A: Sim racing is for everyone though we do require anyone under the age of 15 to have their parent/guardian come with them the first time. Our racing seats are wide, they can accommodate up to a 44 inch waist, the chassis do have a weight limit of 425lbs. The sim chassis are adjustable, they can accommodate anyone from 4’6” to 6’5”.
Q: Can I get motion sick?
A: Our sims do not move, they are stationary, there is vibration through the chassis that gives feedback on what the car is doing. You should not get motion sick.
Q: What should I wear?
A: You can wear any clothes or shoes that you like. Being comfortable is important, we suggest casual and comfortable clothing that allows for free movement. If you wear boots (work, hiking or cowboy) they must be removed before racing, if you do wear boots please wear socks to race in. There is no racing barefoot, socks are the minimum.
Q: Is a license required?
A: No, you do not need a drivers license of any type.
Q: Is it required to book in advance?
A: No, you do not need to book in advance.
Q: Can I drive any car and any track?
A: Yes! That is part of the allure of sim racing. You can drive a F1 car at Monaco, a NASCAR at Indy or even an Indy Car on a dirt circle track.
Q: Are the cars manual or automatic transmission?
A: Cars can be set-up with either type of transmission.
Q: Can I race by myself:
A: Yes, you can drive any car on any track by yourself or against computer controlled (AI racers) and against other guests, the choice is yours.
Q: I have never raced before, will everything be explained to me?
A: Yes, as you get fitted into the sim there will be a driver briefing.
Q: Is it possible to race with disabilities?
A: Yes. Our facility has a ramp at the entrance. The sims allow for the driving controls to be changed meaning that drivers can just use their hands or only one hand.
Q: Can I just watch?
A: Yes, we welcome guests to come and check it out for entertainment or for evaluation before deciding if they want to race.
Q: What is DCR?
A: DCR is DieCast Racing, it is diecast cars like Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars racing a downhill track with curves. You can use our cars or bring your own.
Q: Is slot car racing safe?
A: Yes it is. Slot car racing has been around for almost 100 years, it is safe for anyone over the age of 5 years old.
